There's a myth that you need lots of money, stocks, or properties to engage in estate planning. That couldn’t be further from the truth. With the shifting paradigm and threats to marriage and LGBTQ+ equality, now more than ever it is important for the queer community to protect themselves, their assets -- no matter the amount -- and their loved ones and ensure that their wishes are respected. 

October is National Estate Planning Month and Pride Lafayette is once again holding an Estate Planning Seminar on Saturday, October 11 (National Coming Out Day) starting at 1p at the Holiday Inn City Center. 

The afternoon, sponsored by our partners at C.H. Douglas & Gray Wealth Management, will explore the basics of creating a financial wellness plan, as well as estate planning basics to protect you and your loved ones. 

Refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to the public!
