Does your youth group need funds? The Drug-Free Coalition awards $100 youth mini-grants for youth-based groups in Tippecanoe County. To be eligible for a youth grant, an event/project must promote a healthy, drug and alcohol free life style and/or aim to prevent or reduce substance Abuse. Name of youth group/ club Name of program/project Address City Zip Contact person (youth) Phone number Name of adult providing oversight Briefly describe your program or youth group. Explain how the project will reduce or prevent substance abuse. Provide a budget for how you plan to use the grant funds. Explain each line item. If you are planning to use funds for an event, list approximate dates of the events. Grant Terms: A group may not receive more than two awards a year ($200 total). Grant recipients will have to sign a grant agreement before funds are released. The Drug-Free Coalition must be recognized in any promotional/printed material that is part of the funded program. Grant participants may be asked to participate in a survey provided by the Coalition. Grant applications are due the 10th of each month and will be awarded the following month. For example, if an application is submitted on May 10th, the award will be made by June 1st (if the signed grant agreement has been returned). This is a competitive award process; funding is not guaranteed. The number of awards is dependent on the number and quality of applications. PLEASE NOTE: The mini-grant program is replacing the Red Ribbon Sponsorship program. Mini-grants for Red Ribbon Week activities will count as one of the two awards allowed. Please plan accordingly.
